Pumping Machinery Consulting and Training

Open School: Advanced Pump Class, August 11-12, 2005, Atlanta, GA

Reassembly of  a single-stage ANSI centrifugal pump, followed by live testing of two seal-less pumps in parallel mode of operation. Performance curves are obtained and plotted.

Pump theory: how to read performance curve, NPSH, cavitation, reliability, troubleshooting, MTBF, and more (Advanced Class will have additional advanced topics, and pump-system problems).

More assembly work and learning of other pump types: gear, progressing cavity, and some special types.

"I enjoyed the hands-on part of the class! I learned a lot about pumps that will help me at work. Thank you!"

"This was a great class and I learned a lot. I wish it could be a little longer. You did a great job explaining some things that others have not been able to explain to me"

Kevin Harrell, Northrop Grumman
